Virica Biotch To Expand Domestic Vaccine Manufacturing Capacity with Government Support

Portfolio company Virica Biotech recently announced a $790k grant from the Ontario Together Fund (“OTF”). The funding will support an expansion project which aims to grow Virica’s bioprocessing capacity to keep pace with client demand for scaling up viral medicines, advance new vaccine process development lines, and support Ontario’s preparedness for future public health emergencies with an off-the-shelf viral enhancement kit that will amplify vaccine production.
