Sebastien Latapie, MBA

Principal

Sebastien Latapie has been working at the intersection of healthcare and technology as a researcher, consultant, and investors for over 8 years. Most recently, he focused on uncovering and investing in startups leveraging machine learning in the life science space as an Associate at Northzone’s NYC and London offices.

As a manager at New Markets Advisors, Sebastien applied market research and entrepreneurial thinking to help Fortune 500 companies develop innovative and sustainable growth strategies with a particular focus on companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, health insurance, and healthcare provider markets. Prior to New Markets, Sebastien was a biochemistry researcher at the Goodman Cancer Center in Montreal where he worked across fields such as kidney cancer and genome analysis.

Sebastien has a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology and Master’s in Biochemistry from McGill University as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a citizen of both the United States and France, having grown up largely in France. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, surfing, and snowboarding and has competed at the US National level.
